United States President, Barack Obama made fun of his own debate performance as he sought to reassure Hollywood donors who were stunned at his defeat by Republican challenger Mitt Romney.
Appearing on stage in Los Angeles after a fundraising concert that featured Stevie Wonder, Jon Bon Jovi, and Katy Perry, Mr Obama paid tribute to the singers' professionalism. He then added: "They just perform flawlessly night after night - I can't always say the same."
Mr Obama also told supporters that his successful campaign four yeas ago had also experienced setbacks. He said: "Back in 2008 everybody always remembers the victory, but they don't always remember the bumps in the road.

Mr Obama was attempting to explain his loss in Wednesday's debate as he embarked on his final West Coast election fundraising effort ahead of the Nov 6 election.
The trip is expected to bring in $9.5 million in two days and the money will be used for a barrage of advertisements in vital swing states including Ohio.
