President Goodluck Jonathan has reshuffled his cabinet, dropping nine ministers. The ministers affected are Ruqayat Rufai (Education); Zainab Kuchi (Power, [state]); Buka Tijani (Agriculture [state]), Shamsudeen Usman (National Planning; Ita Okon (Science and Technology);  Olugbenga Ashiru (Foreign Affairs); Ama Pepple (Lands) and Hadiza Mailafia (Environment). Nigerians had long expected President Jonathan to sack members of his cabinet who had largely failed to deliver services to the Nigerian people. Mexican-American singer, Jenny Dolores Rivera Saavedra better known as Jenni Rivera, has died in a plane crash, Sunday, in Mexico. Minutes after taking off from the northern city of Monterrey on its way to Toluca, the plane disappeared. “My queen, we will see each other again soon,” the singer’s father Pedro Rivera told reporters in Los Angeles. “We thought it was a press speculation, we wanted to believe that.
